'I wish I was kidding': Entitled neighbor demands that her cat sitter take the cat to therapy, accusing her of "trauma-bonding" with the cat while she was on vacation, meanwhile the cat simply seems to have chosen a better human

Cat sitting can be a pretty funny job sometimes. Because cats are funny, and they do all kinds of funny things are new and interesting humans. Now, we know that cat sitters, for the most part, are doing their best. And yet, as cat owners ourselves, we can understand why there might be a little paranoia… on either side. We understand why some cat owners leave "kitty cheat sheets" for their cat sitters, with very detailed instructions. And we understand why, in an attempt to decipher a cat's meows, a cat sitter might send the owner an array of texts, both worried and curious.

So yes, cat sitting cat be pretty funny, but this… this was not simply funny. This was accidentally funny. Because it seems that the cat might have chosen a new human in their cat sitter, and although we understand why the owner would be upset by that, her reaction - her demand to take the cat to literal therapy - yeah, yeah, that's a bit funny.

This… might be one of the accidentally funniest interactions we have heard of in our lives. We're sure that your neighbor is being very serious here, and we're sure that we would have been as upset as she is if our cat bonded with someone else more than us, but the solution… We can't say we've ever heard of a feline therapist before.

We kinds of agree with this person. We don't think that it's going to make any difference in the cat's behavior for you to go there, but… boy, we are curious about what all of this entails and how it would work. Let us know if you go through with it for the laughs.
